My experience

I am a fully qualified professional counsellor with experience working with a diverse range of people and the challenges they face. I draw upon training in Person‑Centred Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, and CBT, allowing me to tailor my approach to best suit your individual needs. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with their ethical framework.

I have experience supporting clients with a wide range of common mental‑health difficulties, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, bereavement, and general feelings of dissatisfaction or unease with life.

I also specialise in working with compulsive or repetitive behaviour patterns, including emotional overeating, binge‑eating behaviours, gambling addiction, and intrusive or obsessive negative thoughts.

I have many years’ experience supporting people who struggle with disordered eating patterns, such as cycles of overeating, emotional eating, or feeling out of control around food. These patterns often sit alongside challenges like low self‑esteem, relationship strain, and persistent unhappiness, and my work aims to address both the behaviours themselves and the underlying emotional experiences.

Teaching and Training

I enjoy passing on my knowledge and expertise to trainee counsellors, through teaching accredited counselling courses at a local college. Training is a keen interest of mine, I design and deliver bespoke training courses and facilitate workshops for various organisations. I have delivered training in schools, prisons and the wider local community. Feel free to email me to find out more about my training service
